Data Networking I/O Cable and Cable Assemblies
Gore data networking I/O cable assemblies provide the highest signal fidelity over the longest distances in the smallest, most routable size. These assemblies have EMI shielding and the mechanical durability necessary to provide connection outside of the cabinet, as in processor-to-processor links. Gore data networking I/O cables work well in such applications as flexible backplane systems and intra- and inter-system links.
GORE™ InfiniBand™ Cable Assemblies are engineered to be compliant with the IBTA specification, but also work beyond the standard Infiniband™ data rate. GORE™ CX4 High Performance Cable Assemblies, part of the 10Gb Ethernet standard, provide superior signal fidelity over long distances using the smallest, most flexible cable. Gore fibre channel assemblies are engineered to optimize signal fidelity for specific military application requirements. Data rates from 1 Gb/sec to 5 Gb/sec are possible.

- GORE™ 1394b Military Firewire provides high fidelity signal links for interconnect solutions up to 75 ft (22.9 m) at S400 data rates; when coupled with Gore’s military high data rate assembly techniques, the cable can sustain even higher 1394 data rates.

- GORE™ DensiShield™ Cable Assemblies using FCI DensiShield connectors are designed to transmit high speed differential signals while reducing size and increasing density.
- GORE™ Quadrax High Speed Interconnects
- GORE™ Quadrax High Speed Interconnects offer guaranteed performance against customer specification. The assemblies are impedance matched, improving the signal fidelity from box-to-box. Assemblies are compatible with MIL-DTL-38999.
- Controlled-Impedance Shielded Twisted Pair
- GORE™ Controlled-Impedance Shielded Twisted Pair Wire is especially suited for mil/aero harness applications due to its small size, wide temperature range, non-flammable and non-outgassing materials, and resistance to fluids and chemicals.
Signal fidelity to meet the most demanding requirements
Gore cable assemblies combine several technologies to assure maximum signal fidelity. Gore uses ePTFE insulation with a dielectric constant of approx.1.3, which minimizes loss. Proprietary processing of the cable and the resulting cable assembly minimizes skew. GORE™ EYE-OPENER+® Conductor Technology limits low frequency penetration into the conductor to provide flatter frequency response.
Distance not a problem
Because of the signal clarity they deliver, our cable assemblies shatter the traditional limits on distance. For example, GORE™ Cable Assemblies utilizing GORE™ patented EYE-OPENER+® Conductor Technology can deliver equal signal quality through cables 40% longer than competitive assemblies.
