GORE™ Contacts are designed to provide improved additive phase noise performance. Cable harnesses using GORE™ Size 12 Contacts meet the additive phase noise requirements for the most sensitive receive paths on today’s sophisticated fighter aircraft. Gore has invested in the latest Agilent phase noise test equipment to allow us to test our assemblies phase noise performance broadband through 18GHz. When used in combination with our vibration test system, we can measure phase noise performance for most vibration profiles. Gore tests its cable assemblies for RF leakage using a mode-stirred chamber per MIL-STD-1344, Method 3008. The mode-stirred chamber provides the theoretical maximum number of modes in all polarizations at each discrete frequency from 1GHz to 18GHz. This method provides the most comprehensive results for RF leakage and is recommended by most EMI/EMC experts for high frequency RF Leakage testing.
