Gore Quality Certification: ISO 9001: 2015

This certification means that W. L. Gore & Associates GmbH maintains a Quality Management System that fully conforms to ISO 9001:2015, an internationally - recognized standard that was reviewed and reconfirmed in 2021. The ISO 9001:2015 principles of quality management — such as customer focus, process approach and continual improvement — are fully integrated in the design, manufacture and sales of Gore’s PTFE-based membranes and vents for automotive applications.

The AS9100 Multi-Site QMS certificate is applicable to the following manufacturing locations of W. L. Gore & Associates: 

GORE® Universal Pipe Gasket (Style 800) has received a PDA (Product Design Assessment) certificate under the ABS Approval Program.  The scope and limitations of this assessment are detailed on the pages attached to this certificate.

GORE® GR Sheet Gasketing has received a PDA (Product Design Assessment) certificate under the ABS Approval Program. The scope and limitations of this assessment are detailed on the pages attached to this certificate.

Gore Automotive Certification: IATF 16949:2016

This multi-site certification states that the Performance Solutions Division (PSD), and all listed plants of W. L. Gore & Associates maintains an Environmental Management System that fully conforms to ISO 14001:2015, an internationally recognized standard. The ISO 14001:2015 principles of environmental management – such as environmental policy, implementation and operation, and continual improvement – are fully integrated in the design, manufacture, and sale of all the products at the applicable plants.

The IATF 16949:2016 is the global technical specification and quality management standard for the automotive industry and is designed to be used in conjunction with ISO 9001:2015 (ISO resources page link). The IATF 16949:2016 certifies that the supplemental requirements specific to the automotive industry are integrated into the plant’s operations. 

This certification states that Plant V in Putzbrunn, Germany, has implemented and maintains a Quality Management System that fully conforms to ISO 90001:2015, an internationally recognized standard. The ISO 9001:2015 principles –customer focus, leadership, engagement of people, process approach, improvement, evidence-based decision-making, and relationship management – are fully integrated into the plant’s operations.
